Alison Angrisani, Principal Middle/High School
Ms. Angrisani joined the Cresskill School District in 2014 after eleven years in the New York City Department of Education. Ms. Angrisani began her career as a Foreign Language teacher in NYC’s innovative and high achieving District 2. After eight years of teaching, leading the Foreign Language Department, and coordinating trips abroad at her school, she began a new path as the assistant principal of The Expeditionary Learning School for Community Leaders, a small public high school in Brooklyn. Ms. Angrisani earned her B.A. from Fordham University, M.A. from New York University, and Advanced Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Hunter College. Ms. Angrisani’s passion for school leadership stems from having worked alongside highly effective teachers and school leaders who put students at the center of their learning.
Donald Bergamini, Assistant Principal Cresskill Middle/High School
Mr. Donald Bergamini graduated Cresskill High School with the Class of 1989. He joined the Cresskill staff as a middle school Social Studies teacher in 2001 after teaching in New York City and New Milford. The classes he taught ranged from 7th grade to MCP Humanities and AP Government. Mr. Bergamini also served as the Head Wrestling coach, Head Cross Country coach, Assistant Track coach and was the advisor of The Communique. Before becoming an Assistant Principal, Mr. Bergamini was the Supervisor of Secondary Education overseeing the Social Studies, Music, Art and Business departments as well as being the Dean of Discipline.
Janelle Amato Ph.D., Supervisor of Special Services
Dr. Amato joined the Cresskill School District in 2006 as the district’s school psychologist. She performed individual assessments that included psychological and social/emotional functioning. Additionally, she collaborated with teachers to help maximize learning in the classroom. She is currently the Supervisor of Special Education and oversees programs ranging from age three to twenty-one.
Beth Del Vecchio, Supervisor, Physical Education/Health, Athletic Director
Ms. Del Vecchio has been the Director of Athletics, Activities, Health and Physical Education since 1999. In 2010, Beth was inducted into the New Jersey State Coaches Association Hall of Fame for Volleyball. Ms DelVecchio is currently in her 28th year as an AD. She is also entering her 16th year at Cresskill.
John Massaro, Supervisor of Science; Dean of Cresskill Middle School
John Massaro began his teaching career in Cresskill in 2001 and was voted Cresskill Middle School “Teacher of the Year” in 2009. Before he became supervisor, Mr. Massaro served as Science Department lead teacher from 2008 to 2011. He has taught various science classes in both the middle school and high school, including Integrated Science 7, biology, chemistry, and physics. Mr. Massaro was the Head Girls Soccer Coach from 2002-2011, and has also assisted with girls’ basketball, middle school track and field, and baseball.
Mike Pasciuto, Supervisor of Social Studies
Mr. Michael Pasciuto joined the Cresskill teaching staff in 2002 and has since taught in both the high school and middle school. For the 2009-2010 academic year, he was selected as “Teacher of the Year”at Cresskill Middle School. Over the years Mr. Pasciuto has served the school community in leading professional development workshops for the district staff. From 2002-2009 Mr. Pasciuto served as an assistant varsity football coach. Currently he serves as the head cross country and track and field coach.
Erik Roth, Supervisor of English
Mr. Erik Roth joined the Cresskill teaching staff in 2001 and has since taught in both the high school and middle school. For the 2010 – 2011 academic year, he was selected as “Teacher of the Year”at Cresskill Middle School. Over the years, Mr. Roth has served the school community in a variety of capacities, from mentor teacher to “curriculum coach.” From 2001 to the present, he has led a variety of recreational and scholastic activities including Communique , Opus , “Junior High Recreation Night,” Improv Club, “Cauz” Club, Classic Literature Book Club, and National Honor Society, and has assisted as a freshman football coach and class advisor.
Jill Kurek, Supervisor of Math
Mrs. Jill Kurek joined the Cresskill teaching staff in 2007 as a mathematics teacher. She has taught seventh and eighth grade Mathematics, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry in Cresskill Middle School. In Cresskill High School, she has taught Algebra I,Probability/Statistics, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus, and Calculus Honors. Mrs. Kurek has served as co-adviser of the Middle School Yearbook for the past five years. She is currently the Supervisor of Mathematics and oversees K-12 mathematics curriculum.
