Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy is provided for those students who are deemed to have a delay or disorder in any of the following areas: articulation, voice, fluency, or language (receptive, expressive, or pragmatic).  These delays, which must have an educational impact, are identified through an evaluation process that consists of a team based approach which includes the student’s teacher, parents, speech therapist, and other Child Study Team members.

Therapy sessions are goal driven and tailored to follow the student’s Individualized Education Plan. Sessions are provided during the school day, either individually or within a group setting, depending on the child's needs.
